This special event is hosted by the Saint Louis Chess Club, known as the heart of American chess. The club recently upgraded its facilities, making this the first major event after its reopening.
The Clutch Chess format, created by GM Maurice Ashley, ensures every game counts. The scoring system increases the pressure and keeps fans hooked till the last move. Even players who fall behind can make dramatic comebacks on the final day.
Fans were thrilled to see chess stars like Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Yasser Seirawan, and Maurice Ashley joining the autograph and photo sessions. ChessBase India’s IM Sagar Shah was also present, adding to the excitement of the event.
The match not only revives the legendary rivalry between Anand and Kasparov but also celebrates chess innovation through the Clutch Chess format. With every move, the legends will show why they remain eternal icons of the game.
