Call for Bids: FIDE Amateur World Championships 2026
FIDE has officially announced a Call for Bids for the FIDE Amateur World Championships 2026. The announcement was made by the FIDE Events Commission.
All FIDE member federations are invited to take part in the bidding process. This is a great opportunity to host a major international chess event.
The deadline for submitting bids is January 26, 2026, at 15:00 CET. Federations must complete the process before this date.

This event will be held in a new and updated format. -
World Amateur Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships
This is a brand-new event added to the FIDE calendar.
