Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort becomes Official FIDE Partner for Candidates 2026
The luxurious Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort in Cyprus has become an official partner of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026. The resort has signed a formal agreement with the International Chess Federation (FIDE). The event will take place in March and April 2026 in Cyprus.

The FIDE Candidates 2026 will be held from 28 March to 16 April 2026 in Pegeia (Peiya), near Paphos, Cyprus. The tournament features a record €1,000,000 prize fund.
There will be eight players in the Open section and eight players in the Women’s section. They will compete in a round-robin format. The winners will become official challengers for the World Chess Championship title.
