Get ready for the 4th stage of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2024-25, happening in Nicosia, Cyprus, from March 14–25, 2025!
This top-level chess event brings together 10 of the world’s best female players. They will compete not only for prizes but also for Grand Prix points. These points are very important to qualify for the 2026 FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament.
What is the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix?
- The FIDE Women’s Grand Prix Series 2024-25 is made up of 6 tournaments.
- A total of 20 players are part of the series.
- Each player plays in 3 tournaments.
- Each tournament has 10 players in a round-robin format (everyone plays everyone).
Why is this important?
✅ Prize Fund: €80,000 for each event.
💰 Bonus Prize: €120,000 shared by the top 10 players of the overall series.
🧑🤝🧑 Top 2 players in the series qualify for the 2026 FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament.
