FIDE World Cadet & Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships 2026: Registration Open
Registration is now open for the FIDE World Cadet and Youth Rapid & Blitz Championships 2026. The event invites all FIDE member federations to take part.
The championships will be held in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia. Players will arrive on April 14, 2026, and depart on April 21, 2026.
Cadets: Under 8, Under 10, Under 12
Youth: Under 14, Under 16, Under 18
Top performers from the 2025 World Cadet & Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships have special rights. Gold medal winners from the same or higher age category can participate directly. They must still meet the age requirements mentioned in the official invitation. These players will receive free full-board accommodation in double rooms.
Players who need a Serbian visa must apply early. The request for an Invitation Letter must be sent no later than February 10, 2026.
All entries must be made only through national chess federations. Direct individual registrations will not be accepted. The final registration deadline for players and accompanying persons is March 20, 2026.
