Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland 2025- Vladimir Secures The Victory
Vladimir Fedoseev claimed victory at the Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland 2025! This was the first of three Grand Chess Tour speed-chess events, each offering a prize fund of $175,000.
The event took place in Warsaw from April 26 to April 30. It featured nine rounds of rapid chess (2 points for a win, 1 for a draw) and eighteen rounds of blitz chess (1 point per win). In total, 135 exciting games were played over five days.
The tournament brought together top players. Five tour players competed:

After the rapid section, Firouzja, Fedoseev, and Chithambaram were tied for the lead with 11 points out of 18. Aronian and Praggnanandhaa were just one point behind. Vachier-Lagrave was two points back.
Fedoseev took control on the first day of blitz. He scored a brilliant 8 out of 9, pulling 3.5 points ahead of Praggnanandhaa. On the final day, Fedoseev stayed strong and secured the title with three rounds left!
Vachier-Lagrave shone in blitz, finishing in clear second place. Praggnanandhaa completed the podium in third.
It was a thrilling start to the 2025 Grand Chess Tour!
