FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2025 – Registration Now Open!
Exciting news for young chess players around the world!. The FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2025 are now open for registration.
This prestigious event will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from September 18 to October 1, 2025.
🌍 Who Can Participate?
All FIDE member federations and eligible young players are invited.
The championship is for three age groups: Under 8, Under 10, and Under 12, with separate categories for Open and Girls.
👥 Official Players and Delegates
Each country can register:

One official player per category (U8, U10, U12 – both Open and Girls)

One head of delegation
That’s a total of 6 official players and 1 delegate per federation.
All participants must have a valid FIDE ID and must be under their category age as of January 1, 2025.

Top 3 finishers from the 2024 FIDE World Cadet Championships

Continental Cadet Champions of 2024 (1st place)

Players who placed 1st to 3rd in the 2025 FIDE World Cup for youngsters
National federations can also register additional players and accompanying persons, but they must cover their own costs.
🧩 Bonus Event: Chess Solving Championship
On September 25, there will be a World Cadet Chess Solving Championship.
It will be held in the same six age and gender categories as the main event.
