Tickets are now available for the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026, one of the biggest events in world chess. This tournament decides who will challenge for the World Chess Championship.
From March 28 to April 16, 2026, the global chess spotlight will shine on Cyprus. Both the FIDE Candidates Tournament and the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament will be held together.
The event will take place at the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort, near Paphos. The venue is located along the scenic coastline and offers a perfect mix of luxury and top-level chess. It is a dream destination for chess fans from all over the world.
The Candidates Tournament is the final and toughest stage of the World Championship cycle. Eight elite players compete in each event. They play 14 rounds of classical chess in a double round-robin format. Only one winner earns the right to fight for the World Chess Championship title. Every single game is crucial, and the pressure increases with each round.
The 2026 edition features an incredible lineup. It includes former challengers, world-class super grandmasters, and exciting young stars. Watching these players live allows fans to experience elite chess up close. Preparation, stamina, and mental strength are tested every day for nearly three weeks.

VIP tickets offer a premium experience. VIP guests enjoy access to the VIP lounge and special seating inside the playing hall. They also receive preferential fan zone seating and all-day catering. Depending on availability, VIP guests may even get a chance to play a game with a Grandmaster and receive an autographed player card. VIP passes are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Early-bird ticket prices are available for a short time. This special offer is valid until February 1.
Fans booking multiple days can use discount codes at checkout. Use 2days10 for two days, 3days15 for three days, and 4days20 for four or more days. Ticket availability is limited due to venue capacity. Prices will increase as the event date approaches.
