Nodirbek Abdusattorov has moved to the top of the FIDE Circuit 2026–27 leaderboard. He achieved this after winning the Tata Steel Masters 2026. His victory earned him 25.78 points, putting him clearly in first place.

The Tata Steel Masters is one of the most important tournaments of the year. It also gives many circuit points. Because of this, several top players jumped high in the rankings. Javokhir Sindarov, Hans Niemann, Jorden van Foreest, and Vincent Keymer now stand just behind Abdusattorov.

In the Tata Steel Challengers, Andy Woodward finished first. His performance placed him sixth in the circuit with 7.46 points. Legendary grandmaster Vasyl Ivanchuk finished second in the Challengers and now sits in eighth place overall.

Earlier in January, the Rilton Cup had its own circuit leader. Xu Xiangyu won that event and briefly topped the rankings. However, after Tata Steel, he dropped to seventh place.

The rest of the top 10 comes from the Brazil Series in Florianópolis. Andre Diamant holds ninth place with 5.42 points. Aryan Tari follows closely in tenth with 4.81 points.
