Nodirbek Abdusattorov Extends Lead in FIDE Circuit 2026–2027

Nodirbek Abdusattorov has taken a strong lead in the FIDE Circuit 2026–2027 after winning the Prague International Chess Festival Masters.

The talented grandmaster from Uzbekistan scored 23.14 circuit points with this victory. It was also his second major title of 2026, showing his excellent form this year.

With this win, Abdusattorov now has almost a 20-point lead over second place. Currently, Jorden van Foreest is in second position. He earned important circuit points from strong performances in both the Tata Steel Chess Tournament and the Prague Masters.

Strong Performances in Prague

The Prague event also helped two other players move up in the circuit standings.

Parham Maghsoodloo and Aravindh Chithambaram both played excellent tournaments. They finished on the podium in Prague, which helped them enter the top ten of the FIDE Circuit race.

Nepomniachtchi Wins Aeroflot Open

Ian Nepomniachtchi also joined the circuit standings after winning the Aeroflot Open. This was his second consecutive title at this famous tournament, adding valuable points to his circuit total.

Other Players Enter the Top 10

Aram Hakobyan won the Al-Beruniy International Chess Tournament. He also shared ninth place in the Aeroflot Open. These results gave him 12.66 circuit points, placing him eighth in the standings.

Another player entering the top ten is Mikhail Antipov. He secured his spot after winning the Saint Louis Masters.
