Early-Bird Tickets Available for FIDE Candidates 2026
Tickets are now on sale for the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026, one of the most prestigious events in international chess.
From March 28 to April 16, 2026, the world’s attention will turn to Cyprus. Both the FIDE Candidates Tournament and the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament will be held side by side at the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort.
The venue is set on the beautiful coastline near Paphos, offering a unique mix of top-level chess and a stunning setting. This makes it a must-see event for chess fans worldwide.
The Candidates Tournament is the final and most challenging step in the World Chess Championship cycle. Eight elite players in each event compete in a double round-robin format over fourteen rounds of classical chess. Only the winner earns the right to challenge for the World Chess Championship. Every game counts, and the tension grows with each round.
The 2026 edition will feature an outstanding lineup of players. It includes former challengers, top super-grandmasters, and rising stars. Watching them in person offers a close-up view of chess at its highest level. Preparation, stamina, and nerves are tested every day for nearly three weeks.
Tickets are available in Standard and VIP categories. Standard ticket holders can watch the games live from the playing hall viewing area and enjoy access to the fan zone.
VIP tickets provide a premium experience. VIP guests can access the VIP lounge, watch games from VIP seats, enjoy preferential fan zone seating, and have all-day catering. Depending on availability, VIP ticket holders may also play a game with a Grandmaster or receive an autographed player card. VIP passes are limited and expected to sell fast.
Early-bird prices are available until February 1, 2026. Multi-day discounts are offered with promo codes: 2days10, 3days15, and 4days20. Tickets are limited due to venue capacity, and prices will rise closer to the event.
