FIDE World Cup 2025 (Under 8, 10, 12): Players with Personal Rights

The FIDE World Cup 2025 for age groups Under 8, Under 10, and Under 12 will take place in Batumi, Georgia, from June 22 to July 3.

Who Gets a Direct Entry?

According to section 3.4.A of the official regulations, the top 3 players (by FIDE standard rating as of April 1, 2025) from each of the 6 categories—
(Open Under 8, 10, 12 and Girls Under 8, 10, 12)—
will receive personal rights to participate.

That means a total of 18 players will get direct entry.

What Do They Receive?

These 18 selected players will get:

  • Free full-board accommodation from June 22 (lunch) to July 3 (breakfast)
    (in twin-sharing rooms)

  • Travel compensation for flight tickets:

    • €600 for players from Europe

    • €1,200 for players from other continents

Important Deadlines

FIDE World Cup 2025

  • Registration deadline: April 22, 2025

  • If a player does not confirm by this date, their spot will be given to another player as an organizer wildcard.

All federations must send a fully completed Excel registration form to the contact email before the deadline.
Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

Tournament Format

The World Cup will be held in two stages:

  1. Stage 1: 7-round Swiss system

  2. Stage 2: Players with equal positions will play against each other

Prizes

🏆 For each age category (Boys & Girls):

FIDE World Cup 2025

  • 1st Place: Cup + Medal + Diploma + MacBook Air 2023/24

  • 2nd Place: Cup + Medal + Diploma + iPhone 16

  • 3rd Place: Medal + Diploma + iPad

🎁 All participants will receive a certificate.

The top 3 players in each age and gender category will also receive free full-board accommodation at the World Cadets Championship 2025.
